“Larry Dykstra”
I was not formally trained as a musician, but today, music is central to who I am and the inspiration behind how I serve others. Along the way, I began to marvel at the positive impact music had on different audiences in a wide range of contexts.
Nowhere was the boundless power of music more apparent to me than when I sang at the besides of children in hospitals.
I came to call these expressions of caring, offered in the form of a song, “musical hugs.”
My primary interest as a writer is sharing personal stories that illustrate the power of music to heal. My mission is to inspire others to unleash the vast emotional power of music to improve the human condition, one story and one song at a time.
